Looking Ahead
Over the next four years, a major focus for the board will be our Master Facilities Plan. With 23 schools in Lakota, our buildings are assets that need to be properly cared for and maintained. Since early 2024, we have taken steps to join the Expedited Local Partnership Program (ELPP). This will give the district 32% of the total money spent to complete Phase III of the project. To ensure that our plans will meet the future educational needs of our students in a fiscally responsible way, the district will be providing opportunities for community input. With changes planned for grade designations per building as well as the total number of buildings, we know that Lakota families and residents want to be informed about what changes will take place. As a board, we have worked hard to make the process transparent, and I encourage everyone to take a look at the Master Facilities Plan information on the district's website to learn more.

With your support in November, I will continue my commitment to the students, families, and residents of Lakota to make decisions that will benefit all students and the success of our district. This is our community, and Lakota is a major part of what makes our community great. My goal is to ensure that Lakota continues to be a district that we can all be proud of. I respectfully ask for your vote on November 4th.
